Item Listed :
An LCD cable replacement for HP Elite x2 1013 G3.
As is clear from the above image 2, the ONLY difference between SKU 4UJ44PA#ABJ and 5MP20PA#ABJ (or SKU 5MR75PA#ABJ and 5MP24PA#ABJ) lies in the resolution of the screen. That is, the display resolution of 4UJ44PA#ABJ (or 5MR75PA#ABJ) is 3,000 x 2,000 pixels, while that of 5MP20PA#ABJ (or 5MP24PA#ABJ) is 1,920 x 1,280 pixels. Moreover, this pixel difference is solely due to the difference in the installed LCD panel. In other words, there is no other difference at all between 4UJ44PA#ABJ (or 5MR75PA#ABJ) and 5MP20PA#ABJ (or 5MP24PA#ABJ), including the motherboard. This means that if you replace the LCD panel of 5MP20PA#ABJ (or 5MP24PA#ABJ) with a one with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000, 5MP20PA#ABJ (or 5MP24PA#ABJ) will operate as absolutely equivalent to 4UJ44PA#ABJ (or 5MR75PA#ABJ).
However, when replacing the LCD, you will also need to replace the display cable. The receiving connector of the LCD panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,280 is a "standard eDP 40-pin", while the connector of the 3,000 x 2,000 LCD panel is a "narrow eDP 40-pin" (see above image 3).
This listing is for those who are considering replacing the LCD panel as described above, or those whose existing LCD cable has become unusable.
I apologize for any repetition, but this is an important matter:
Most sellers of the LCD panel assembly for the HP Elite x2 1013 G3 are likely referring to the version with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,280 pixels while emphasizing (in product titles, for example) that their display connector has "40 pins". However, the display connector for the version with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels also has 40 pins (laughs). There has not ever been any LCD panel for HP Elite x2 1013 G3 with a 30-pin display connector released, NEVER. In fact, those sellers do not have the product in hand and they are not even counting the pins with no doubt. They are simply under the mistaken impression that the connector for the panel with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels has 30 pins.
